This is a college bar hangout. Your usual selection of national beers on tap. Ho hum.
If you want fresh, locally brewed beer, by all means go to Nimbus or Thunder Canyon.

I had the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant or bar at this Maloney's last week for a Friday happy hour. My friend and I were ignored by the waitress for over 20 minutes while she served tables around us. I am positive she saw us. When I asked for a manager, the bartender told me that they were too busy. I explained to him what we were unhappy about and he basically shrugged his shoulders. We are two young, professional women who will never go to Maloney's again and will tell all of our friends about our experience.

Maloney's has a decent selection of good beer and good basic pub food. Nothing more. Unfortunately it tries too hard to be hip and cool, and to cater to the UA college crowd, so unless you're there to be part of that scene you're not going to enjoy it much on weekends. During the week and early on weekend nights, it's a fine place.

We sought this place out based on the one other review. We were badly disappointed. As we approached Maloney's from the parking area, we were blasted by twentysomething music. It was worse inside. While I like many Grateful Dead tunes, even that has a realistic volume limit. Yes, I understand they probably cater to the U/A crowd, but it was spring break, for crying out loud! Not a place to relax and check out their offerings - so we didn't.
